Sierra Leone is endangered by emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, including Ebola Virus Disease, HIV, TB, Hepatitis, Covid-19, and others. SHS provides a medium to engage local resources, including health researchers and health programme leaders, to foster evidence generation in the area of infectious disease. SHS does so through evidence translation in clinical service delivery, community engagement, shared responsibility and decision making strategies to support epidemic control, behavioural change, surveillance and health communication.
